11th June 2026 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny start then rain! Max Speed: Distance Covered: Thursday 11th June - walk *** – Early Felixstowe prom – sunny start then rain all afternoon! With the wind increasing and rain arriving around midday I decided to join Mag on her early morning prom walk to make the most of the sunshine! We left home just after 6 and headed down to a quiet seafront turning left towards The Fludyers making it as far as the sit just past the hotel so I could take a few pics of the small fishing boat on the beach, I was pleased to get one chosen as a BBC Editors Pick but sadly it did not make it onto the telly:( We walked back through the Spa Gardens with loads of poppies and home to sort out my pics with a round of fruit bread and a cuppa. Then it was exercises indoors as the rain had arrived and lasted all afternoon! We then had a drive over to check out Robs house in Felixstowe before going down to the Ferry to take a few more weather pics! Then home for a cuppa and a hot water bottle as its a tad on the chilly side! Photo Album here |
